When I just graduated almost every entry level job required 2-3 years of experience in that "specific" field, and internships required to be at least one year before graduation 🙃 so no job and no way to get more experience

This is so ridiculously true. I recall at age 16 was the first time I was permitted to legally work, so enthusiastically I went to apply with local stores and business for a job over the summer. I'd get stuff like "So do you have any previous experience?" (Despite me having made it clear I'm 16 and it was the first time I could work). Or a "Just hand us your CV and we'll get back with you" (Which naturally they never did). Tried again the year after, got the same shit of "you need experience first" because working as a cashier or handling products or cleaning in a store apparently needs soooo much experience. Kept getting the same pointless answers, so eventually I just gave up and never worked a job as a student.

Inside info from a former employer: we don't nescessarily want you, even tho you qualify for the job. Often there are many applicants, and we(the employer) has most times already set their mind on a set of qualities or skills that would be nice to have around. You might be better qualified, or even "too good " as some describe it. Yet the person who most fit the description we predetermined have a much higher chance of getting the job. Thats life. Sometimes, we all look at the wrong places to discover what we're really worth. ie: if you didnt get the mcdonalds job, that is just as much the employer saving you from a shitty life, as it is you failing to get a job, apply yourself, and try somewhere else. Never the less, you are always appreciated, no matter call-backs, or sad messages

Getting a job feels like getting into a secret society. I went to college, to be a paralegal. I had no paralegal experience, I even offered to work for some law firms for free, and I would have done it to, just to get my foot in the door. Of course, I was still turned down. I guess, too many people, not enough jobs?

@Mr. Hat 1. If you’re a student, work hard enough and step up for yourself to make proof of your good work so your future life can be easier. If you’re not a student and you’re struggling to find a job, just keep having faith and keep on applying for the jobs you don’t mind doing too much without being to difficult on your choices and then change jobs after at least 5 to 6 months when it becomes too annoying, always by trying to get an a bit more prestigious job each time. Not all employers reject you even if you’ve never worked before like it says in this stupid video, especially if you spend time making a good CV. Spoiler alert: you don’t need to have a lot of experience to make a good CV. 2. Do you really believe in that? Do you think it’s going to happen in your life time? If you know so well then you can be the one to start actually improving the way society works. You probably won’t be the first to try, yet you might be the first to succeed in some way 🤷‍♂️. I mean you never know, if you WORK HARD ENOUGH on it. 3. In some way, I do agree a tiny bit with the video because life may seem like that if you look at it that way. But it’s not a very original to say: « oh life is stupid; I can’t get a job because I don’t have any working experience. How are you supposed to get your first job then? », many idiots have had that thought at least once, me included, but they’re just looking at the world the way they want to see it according to their state of mind at that moment. Often, universities help you get your first job because it’s part of their program. But if you haven’t gone to university, firstly it’s probably because you haven’t WORKED ENOUGH, secondly well you can always either go to university know, or follow universities’ programs online (on some websites like Coursera, where you only have to pay like 200 bucks for the diploma when you pass the exam at the end of the year), or you can always start your own project that you find out how to build online if you don’t know already. Everyone knows that you can learn basically anything for free online, the only obstacle being your motivation. At this point you might say to me: « Well not everyone can afford universities! » and I’ll tell you that I’ve given you other solutions in my previous sentence, but also, I’ll tell you that everyone has problems in life I hope realized thzt already, some just have less than others but there is always a way to solve them if you have the courage to face it. You might also tell me: « But I don’t like WORKING HARD, it’s exhausting! » and I’ll reply by saying: « Well no shit Sherlock! Of course it’s exhausting but that’s how you succeed in life, and, anyway, if you manage to WORK HARD ENOUGH, you may get to a point where your work will be what you always wanted or needed and it won’t be too bothering anymore to WORK HARD. » So NO, to answer your last question, I wasn’t being that much sarcastic. Understood now?

Hi Everyone, I like to share my experience with you guys when I left college, I got a Job which was barely enough to pay my bills with nothing left. I practically lived from paycheck to paycheck without any savings. In a short while I left the Job in search of a better Job which took like forever. Where ever I went, They all say the same thing; ''that they're not hiring at the moment but however my application will be considered whenever they start hiring". This went on for almost a year, I got kicked out of my house, I slept in the streets for a while before I met an old friend who took me in, I was so ashamed of myself that I couldn't face my family. After some days in her house, I decided to try again. Everything remains the same, I couldn't get a Job. I was fed-up and told my friend everything that I was going through. She smiled and told me a story about a Spell caster/ Cure expert named Olalekan who helped her secure her current Job, that I shouldn't worry he is going to help me. She brought out her phone and gave me his email; olalekanspell@gmail.com and What'sapp number +2349050071327. I contacted him immediately and in just 7days I got a Job 5 times what I earned from my previous Job. I now have an SUV and my own apartment all thanks to Dr. Olalekan.

I’m a university student trying to apply for jobs in retail or food. Do they ask those kinds of questions? I’d assume they won’t since idk it seems like the most common job people my age get.

not at all. just some. in some you get to develop a career you actually like. but in most, youre a robot that just moves and crank to keep the assembly line going. you may actually be interested in becoming a teacher or a broker. but its hilarious when they ask you about that for applying for like cashier. even if you just wanted to make your job easier, its not like they'd let you make any changes to the proccess, nor will they pay you for it or promote you.

how it actually goes: i believe my involvement in this company could increase morale among the team and allow the corporation to grow as the team grows. I do believe that if i were to join then your team would surely accept me as one of your own and i can easily learn the essentials from there. do you have experience? no get out
